we will send out info via our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/TwirlATX/

The only person who will see each performance is the Judge running that lane

and their clerk. All performances will be live and scored upon completion.

Only online registration is available. No Mail In entries.

*Important Contest Information*
*The first event on each "Lane" will begin at 8:00 am

*Zoom invitations will be sent to each competitor via email by June 17th
*NBTA Rules will be in effect for all competitive events

*Performers must go at their assigned time regardless of weather. Have a back up plan!

*All event times will be given in CENTRAL Time
*NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN FOR ANY REASON

This is a competition and ALL competitors are required to wear a costume and have appropriate shoes. The definition of a costume is up to you. If you do not want to perform outside in competition costumes, attire must show that you gave effort towards a performance appearance. Judges will not penalize for dance style costumes, as long as they are presentable, appropriate, and allow for proper twirling movement. For modeling, all hair needs to be off the neck and up in a twirling style (bun, ponytail, braid, etc). "Modeling" hairstyles will not be given additional credit or consideration from the judges.

You can perform from your home, driveway, gym, studio, outside tennis/basketball court, etc, on a FLAT surface. Please have a backup option should there be bad weather and your first option not be usable.

The contestant MUST have a Zoom account in his/her name. If the account is not in the contestant's name, the judge will not be able to let you into the competition area. Please sign up for a FREE Zoom account. DO NOT USE ZOOM for the first time on June 20th. Please get on Zoom and test your equipment prior to competition day.

Make sure you have a plan ahead of time for the camera. We suggest using a cell phone for the competition, vs a computer, since often the cell phone offers a clearer picture for the viewing judge. If using a stationary cell phone, we suggest utilizing a cell phone tripod or a cell phone stand to ensure the phone won't tip or fall over during the performance. During the performance, the twirler must be visible from head to toe, preferably with space above and below as well.

During "moving" events (X-Strut, Show Twirl, Rhythmic, Collegiate Solo, Teams), you can use a stand, but it is preferably to have someone hold the camera and follow the performer to ensure they are always in the frame.

You will receive your scoresheets via email after verification/tabulation (please allow 3 days/72 hours). All placements will be posted on this website within 24 hours after the competition. We will post events as we have them completed throughout the day on the Twirl ATX Facebook Page and the @twirlatx Instagram account. The pageant results will be announced via a live stream on the Twirl ATX Facebook Page, so make sure to follow us at https://www.facebook.com/TwirlATX/

Disclaimer: If you do not have Wi-Fi and you are trying to use Cell Service, you will probably “lag” inside a building. The judge will not be able to see your routine in real time. Please try to be on Wi Fi if indoors when you can.

If competing in the Miss Twirling Sunshine Pageant, during the modeling portion, competitors must provide a chair to sit in that is far enough away from the camera that the judge can see the twirler from head to toe.

If you do not have the NBTA March Music, please use this music file: Stars & Stripes NBTA March Music File

*Awards*

Each twirler will receive a custom plaque with their name on it. For each non-pageant event they place Top 5 in, they will receive a plate displaying the event and placement that can be attached to the plaque.

For the Miss Twirling Sunshine and the Basic Skills Pageants, the winners will receive a pageant winner plaque and a sash, and 2nd to 5th place will receive a smaller plaque.

For the Daddy/Daughter events, the daughter will receive a plate for her plaque, and the dad will receive a keepsake koozie.
